British Book Design and Production Awards 2015 Shortlist
The Folio Society is delighted to announce that two of its titles have been shortlisted for the British Book Design and Production Awards 2015. The popular edition of Edgar Allan Poe’s The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym has been nominated in the Literature category and the limited edition The Herefordshire Pomona has been nominated in the Reference/Academic category. The complete shortlist can be found here.
The British Book Design and Production Awards, in association with Oxford Brookes University and The Publishers Association, are one of the most prestigious and popular literary events of the year. The awards recognise and promote excellence in the industry by celebrating the best books of the year. The books highlighted can include everything from photographic titles, art and architecture monographs, to academic reference books.
The inclusion on the shortlist continues the great success that The Folio Society has achieved in the last few years with two titles winning their categories in 2012 – Gulliver’s Travels (Limited Edition and Fine Binding) and Fahrenheit 451 (Literature). Other Folio titles shortlisted in 2012 include The Sound and the Fury (Limited Edition & Fine binding), The Bhagavad Gita (Literature) and The Handmaid’s Tale (Literature).
In 2014 books from The Folio Society were shortlisted in a variety of categories: The Alexander Trilogy (Children’s Books) The Rainbow Fairy Books (Brand/Series Identity), The Day of the Jackal (Literature) and The Princess and the Goblin (Best British Book).
